The plastic cambro may not be the best choice there, bud.

Nope. Looks all good to go! Make sure to wear flip flops too in case it splatters. That way you can just put them through the dishwasher to clean.

A old cardboard box underneath the bin helps with any spillage during the drain

  6. Lost_On_Lot

Definitely just open the valve and walk away. Smoke break guy! Go smoke a doob and let it cool down for a bit.

Make sure the oil hot when using a plastic bucket 💀

  8. snagsguiness

Put water in the bucket first so it cools down the oil🤪

When I do mine I use two metal stock pots, two buckets of hot clean water, an empty bucket, a bucket of hot soapy water, 3 or 4 cloths, a chinois with large holes and a steel wool. Turn two filter cones inside out and put one inside the other with the seams opposite. Chane the inside one after each fryer.

    Wear gloves.

yea make sure u fill the bucket with ice so the oil isn’t so hot when u transport it, oh and forget about dumping it in ur works oil dump just throw it in the grass in front of tue restraint

Put your lips around that metal pipe and then turn the blue lever

  13. LongingForGrapefruit

Nope. Send it. Learn the lesson.

It’s going to be hot and it might melt that container…

Fill it up with ice cubes so it cools the oil as it goes in

Fun fact: those yellow mop buckets we all use with *also* melt if you empty a hot fryer into them.

    Ask me how know.

  16. i_am_a_shoe

yeah you can fuck right off with this. I have a very polarizing opinion about who should change the fryer oil (not the person who just got rocked on the line for 9 hours). mistakes can be avoided

  17. WhiteStar24

Yo your gonna burn that bucket, put some ice at the bottom to help keep the bucket cool and burn

  18. CommissionerGordon12

Yea don’t out 350 degree oil in plastic

  19. CommissionerGordon12

Also get a spout that curves down so it won’t rocket onto your shins or shoes if you fuck up. Then never turn the curve upside down

  20. When you open the nozzle don’t just stare at it, make some use of the free time and start another task like grabbing something in another room. Or start a conversation with a server

When that plastic melts, use water to put it out.

Make sure you empty it as soon as you kill the flame, makes it easier to empty it all out hot /s

Bunch of rookies in this thread. Skip the bucket and just squeegee it down the drain. Work smarter, people!

  24. Professional-Bus5473

Make sure you close the drain before you start refilling it otherwise you will very rapidly dump oil onto the floor! Wanna ask how I know?

  25. marimoso

Just make sure it’s at 350 before you dump. Could clump otherwise

  26. swedething

Make sure the oil is really hot, it’s more liquid that way, and it’ll flow more freely!

  27. BoxersOrCaseBriefs

Stop! Don’t do it! It’ll melt right through the bucket!

You need to dump a bucket of ice into the fry oil first to cool it down. Then it’ll be ready to empty into your bucket.

(In case someone stupid reads this… Don’t do this. Ever.)

  28. This is completely unsafe.

Put down some paper towels underneath that bucket, just in case you spill.

  29. Guavadoodoo

Are you serious? Hot oil, lightweight plastic bucket! Aargh, forget it. Just go for it!

Today I witnessed a man that had claimed to be a chef at multiple restaurants, clean his first fryer. Boy that was humbling to watch.

There is no limit to cambro utility. Trust me.

  33. QUESO_DEVILLE

You don’t even need the bucket, just go straight the floor drain it’s totally fine

Use a stock por first , second use the same oil and scoop it with a small saucepan into the dryer , the same oil will clean the residue inside , after that close the pipe and add hot water with pot detergent and turn it on on 200 , one it boiled throw that water and keep putting water till it get out clean , at least 45 minutes per fryer
