After coming on 6 months of use of this Walmart jumbo Joe premium , I can't recommend it enough. Though it may be a little flimsy this lil Walmart special has flat cooked for me. Low and slow to high heat sears. Anyone on here looking for a kettle but does not want to spend the premium for a master touch or performer or what have you. You simply cannot go wrong with the jumbo Joe for the money. If your new to grilling , or just want an extra laying around. Just do it. 1 crisp hundred dollar bill and you've got a cooking machine. It's also bare bones and kind of fun to tinker with and do your on janky mods on as I have mine. Just sat a pork loin down on mine this morning and watching some hickory smoke puff out of the daisy wheel and thought I'd type this up for anyone on the fence about a jumbo Joe. Whether it was needed or wanted or not lol.

I’m looking to buy my first Weber kettle and have thought about the Jumbo Joe, but I really want that ash catcher the premium and master touch have.

I live in a place where there are winds even in the summer so I feel like it would be a necessity for me.

But I’ve seen a few Jumbo Joe’s (regular size though) on FB marketplace for under $50 bucks and I might just pull the trigger on one in order to start my smoking journey and then I’ll probably upgrade later.

I’m just an indecisive kinda guy and an overthinker so I usually have paralysis by analysis and then by the time I decide, its too late lol

Thanks for the write up. It helps to hear from someone who has experience with it.

The pic of the fire is trippy

Also can’t go wrong with a Weber kettle. It will grill, smoke, make pizzas, Mac n cheese, be an oven, grill, smoker and more. Don’t overthink the journey and enjoy the ride
