    You get to eat the coconut meat with it. Very common in Thailand. It’s an ingredient and a container in itself

  4. I don’t see the difference between this and clam chowder in a bread bowl. Nothing wrong here.

    Reminds me of the time I was served shrimp fried rice in a half a pineapple. It was, incidentally, the best fried rice I’ve ever had.

    I’ve had curries served like this, it’s great. I’ve also had steak served in a pineapple (amazing). Using fruit as a serving dish often works out really well.
