Smoked a pork butt last week and almost set the house on fire
Luckily the water hose was next to the bin and was able to put it out
Note to self don’t dump the ash of smoke tubes in the trash bin. Smh
pulled pork came out good though

I have literally never had this problem. A few grease fires on the griddle or under the grill, sure, but fire safety is no joke. Don’t dump hot things into flammable things. Don’t start without a fire solution at hand – hoses can be okay, class K extinguishers are great, but personally I like big buckets of sand best.

You mean things that burn can be hot? Shit I better write this down

The bins in my area all have large letters on them that says NO HOT ASH

They usually say ‘No hot ashes’ on the lid as a gentle reminder….

Wow, I can’t believe there are people that actually think its fine to put FLAMING HOT ASHES/ COALS in a PLASTIC BIN! WTF! I bought a metal can with a lid specifically to put my ashes in. I also never ever ever ever put them in hot, never ever, even though my metal bin can handle it. Then you post it like it’s funny or something, really? Be safe when you cook or just don’t cook.

  7. Go put your grill on craigslist, and let your wife cook from now on.

And turn in your man card on your way out please

Who are these people that are cleaning up right after a cook? I clean my grill right before the next time I grill, lol.
