This is a whole cow heart. It’s been frozen since I bought it, also bought frozen, and it has these brown spots that feel almost like wood. Is this still ok to eat?

That’s freezer burn. It’s essentially just freeze dried meat caused by the water in the flesh sublimating in the freezer.
It’s hard to say if it’s safe to eat. Was it frozen fresh? Has it stayed frozen? How long has it been in the freezer? Does it smell good still?

Freezer burn. It’s fine to eat, though I would slice off those bits before thawing

Yea, freezer burn. I think it changes the taste and texture. I would cut off those parts.
