And it’s just hard to see his picture splashed across the screen. He’s been coming here for as long as I could remember. Yeah. My dad got this when I was five, and I just remember him coming in for our super long time. And you’d always get a chicken salad with extra chicken,” Mannino said.Sal Mannino, the owner of Sal’s Italian Restaurant, fondly recalled Emenheiser’s smile every time he visited. “For me, it’s like they’re like part of the family. That’s the way I see it,” Mannino said.In response to the tragedy, Sal’s Italian Restaurant is hosting a fundraiser, donating 20% of their sales to support the families of the five fallen officers.”We’re going to be donating 20% of our sales to the five fallen officers. And then we’ll be hand delivering the check to the station just so we can personally give it to them, we want to deliver it to them just so they know that we’re here for them,” Ilenia Mannino said.The fundraiser will take place all day Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with proceeds coming from all types of purchases, whether in person, delivery, or pre-order.The restaurant aims to show the officers and their families that they are loved and have the community’s support.
