Hi! I’m Asi, and today we’re making a delicious Mediterranean-style stuffed tomato dolma. Juicy tomatoes filled with a savory mix of rice, ground meat, onion, garlic, dill, and warm spices, then baked to perfection with olive oil. This dish is hearty, colorful, and full of authentic flavor — ready in just 20 minutes of baking at 160 °C (320 °F)!
🥗 Ingredients:
– 9 medium tomatoes (≈ 1080 g / 2.4 lb)
– 150 g (5.3 oz) rice
– 150 g (5.3 oz) ground meat
– 1 small onion (≈ 75 g / 2.6 oz)
– 1 garlic clove (≈ 3 g / 0.1 oz)
– 1 bunch fresh dill (≈ 50 g / 1.8 oz)
– 3 tbsp olive oil (≈ 45 ml / 40 g / 1.4 oz)
– 1 tsp salt (≈ 5 g / 0.18 oz)
– 1 tsp chili pepper (≈ 2 g / 0.07 oz)
– ½ tsp black pepper (≈ 1 g / 0.035 oz)
– ½ tsp turmeric (≈ 1 g / 0.035 oz)
Simply prepare the filling with rice, ground meat, onion, garlic, dill, and spices, stuff the tomatoes, drizzle with olive oil, and bake at 160 °C (320 °F) for 20 minutes until tender and aromatic!
