House of Caesar had been planned to open at the end of the month
The new restaurant and bar will be at 103 unit on Bold Street
The launch of Liverpool’s new £300,000 restaurant and bar, House of Caesar, has been delayed. The Bold Street establishment had planned to greet diners before the end of September but guests will now need to wait until October.
The restaurant says it will deliver “authentic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavour” with a range of Arabic, Turkish, Syrian and Mediterranean cuisine. More than £300,000 has already been invested in converting the previous Brazilian establishment, Maracana Sport Bar, into House of Caesar.
A spokesperson for the House of Caesar said: “We are getting more and more excited as we get close to the launch. Bold Street is already thriving with so many different restaurants and cuisines, and we can’t wait to bring House of Caesar to that mix and add to that.”
House of Caesar’s September opening has been delayed, with the launch now expected for early October. The venue is located in a former bank building, with neon lighting set to brighten the space contrasting with the dark walls and complementing the high ceilings.

The floor will be laid with parquet wood, and seating areas will include embroidered fabrics and cushions for comfort, reflecting Middle Eastern influences.
Background music will feature Middle Eastern tracks, with live bands performing on weekends. The menu will focus on traditional marinated meats such as chicken, lamb, and fish, alongside rice dishes, salads, and freshly baked breads.
Other popular Middle Eastern items will also be available, including falafel, fattoush, kebabs, shawarma, and plant-based plates with options like hummus.

The old Brazilian venue Maracana Sport Bar was opened by former footballer Lohan Munhoz de Oliveira. The businessman, who has previously played in the Brazilian top flight, opened the venue initially as a restaurant in 2023, before relaunching a year later as a sports bar.
The dad-of-two, who also had a stint at Bootle FC, said he believed Liverpool was the perfect place to open his bar, thanks to a strong Brazilian influence at Anfield in particular in recent years thanks to now-departed stars including Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, as well as current goalkeeper Alisson.
Despite this, the venture was short-lived – closing this year to make way for what is now going to be House of Caesar.
