Hello and welcome back to BBQ Jams. I am your host, Wil Blumberg. And tonight, guys, we’ve got a killer show
lined up for you guys. We have a newcomer
that’s going to be on keyboards tonight. His name is Jake Bartruff. We also have Arthur Zaragoza
coming back on the scene playing some guitar for us
along with Ryan Cobb on bass and myself. Wil Blumberg on drums.
It’s going to be killer. So tonight we’re going to change things up
a little bit for you guys. We actually have a guest cook here tonight
from Pine Grove Deli and his name is Nader
Bajilia is incredible. We go over there all the time for lunch. He has this incredible dish
that he cooks for us every time. And it’s called a Wahesh. Wahesh. Check it out. Go to Pine Grove, ask for the wahesh. You’re gonna love it, guys.
And you get involved with it. Anyway, without further ado,
you guys, let’s get involved. Boom. Nader what is going on, man? Welcome to BBQ Jams. I’m so excited to have you here. I have like, been looking forward to this
all day. You going to be cooking up
this plate of, Wahesh for us tonight? Yes, sir. And I have this for lunch every day. Just about. I go over to Pine Grove and always
looking forward to this meal. It is so good. Martin. Awesome, awesome. He’s always wanting
to get involved with that dish. So can you give us a little, a little,
rundown of what we’re having tonight? All right. We’re having a Wahesh plate is a, bed of tabouleh salad, some chopped chicken. Some chopped steak. Very nice. Cool. Real steak. Yeah, yeah. Chop steak. Okay. Round up steak. Grilled steak. Pieces of,
or end cuts from our meat counter. Okay. And our butcher shop. Yeah. Y’all have a nice butcher shop, too. So we we take all of our steak parts from our end cuts,
and we mix that into our steak. Makes other sandwiches as well. And then we add onion pepper. Some of our in-house seasoning,
some native sauce. And we cook it in a rice oil
mixed with our homemade tallow. Very cool man it is. I am so looking forward to this man. So now tell me a little bit
about Pine Grove and how it came to be. And, and,
you know, just give us the spiel on that. Well, Pine
Grove, it’s been around for a long time, at least minimum three generations. Wow. I knew your dad was involved. Yeah. So we are the third generation. That’s. You can read them. Yeah. My father’s been there since 1968,
when he’s 68. Wow. Good for you guys. Absolutely.
You’re doing something right over there. Yeah,
just good food, man. Brings people back. I know, and you guys do
all sorts of other sandwiches. You a lot of stuff. What? So I’m trying to think of some of those sandwiches
you guys make that are really incredible. But what’s what are, like those real
staple sandwiches everybody comes in for? Well, we have a huge menu, so you do. I’m hard to mention. Just
I don’t know all of them, but yeah. Yeah, it’s hard to mention one. But, you know,
we do a really good steak in a sack. Okay. Yeah. Very popular sandwich. Yeah, it’s a pita pocket with our peppers, onions, cheese chopped
up, sauteed on the grill. Very cool. That’s a real popular one of the burgers,
because we are butchers, so we grind. They are excellent. Oh, yeah. So it’s, you know, just a variety. Anything beef? We do it, you know. Of course you can
come in and get a good steak, you know? Oh, man. Oh, yeah, I’ve had them. Yeah. They’re so good, man. You guys are doing it right over there. And I’m so happy that you were able
to get over here and show you guys on YouTube
what’s going on and see about this. Wahey! And if you guys are in Riverside, ever
in Jacksonville, Florida, Pine Grove Deli and it’s on Pine Grove,
right in the strong Grove. That’s so cool. pinegrovemarket.com. Yep. Okay. And that location also used to be
a grocery store, if I’m not mistaken. Like long time and like
and my father took it over in 1968. It was a butcher shop and grocery store. Oh. Very cool. It evolved into the restaurant and deli,
but we still kept some of our old roots of the butcher shop, because that’s what
kept us in business there for many years. Oh, yeah. So the butcher shop has always been
a good part of the business there. Okay, but we added the deli
and that took off really well. And it’s just,
you know, that’s keeps on cooking, man. You guys are knocking it out. Yeah. Speaking of knocking it out, I am looking forward to, you showing us
how you guys, come up over. I know you’re not at home in your home
base right now, and you’re in another spot,
but I’m a great spot, man. You got it all
set up. Well, thank you so much. All right Nader so what’s going on? Shows give us the rundown on this. We got right now a little tent here of,
our broccoli that we’re going to steam. Okay. Our tent. And then we’re going to add this
to the dish once we get our steak
and our chicken going. Okay. Very cool. Get that seasoned
up. Yeah. Add the broccoli. We’ll throw in the peppers. That way your your vegetables
don’t come out soggy. Oh. Gotcha. More elegant. Yeah. Nice. Yeah. Very nice. I got to tell you
this is quite the treat for me tonight because normally I’m the one cooking. But yeah, we got Nader over here. Well, I have to get him up here more often so I can kind of relax
a little bit for you. I have this awesome. Awesome. Well, take it away,
Nader. Let’s see what you got, bro. Yes, sir. put the steak on last
because we like to cook that to medium. Okay. Very good.
No more than medium on the steak. That’s how I get it. Yeah yeah yeah yeah absolutely. some of our, in-house seasoning on that. Very cool. Man. I think.
Yeah. Tomorrow. Don’t forget it’s on a secret menu. If you go to his in his, shop. What? He just ask for the walkie? Trust me, My favorite right here. Your steak all spread out
because we’re getting close. the finale, the Nader song made native Song life. Well, you that move so cool. Oh, so it’s all good? Yeah.
Magic is usually around for that song. Yeah. Sorry. It. Gets a bit more heavy. Here’s the song. Oh. Thank you. Yeah. All right, here’s your grand finale. It was all right. Nader. Now, this is looking incredible. Like I see every single day
when I’m over at your spot, I’m going to dive into this thing.
You ready? Absolute. Let’s do it, man. It looks great. Come on. Involve some of this. I do every day. Get you a little pepper
a little bit of that too. Yeah. I was gonna say
get the whole the whole thing in. Can. Oh. Every single time okay. On it man. Thank you so much Nader.
This is incredible. That sauce used that Nader
sauce is so good. Once you have such a great flavor, the broccoli and the peppers
just really set it off. Just a little dash. Oh you need oh man our seasoning to just
sealing in the lemon from the to bullet. Ooh. That’s boy handsome man. Perfect. Well look I’m going to hook up these guys
with some more of this food. If you want to keep picking it up over
here, we’ll get it. We’re gonna get them over here. I mean, when I’m talking my mouthful.

It’s taking off. So good, bro. Yeah, this smell a lot heavier. There’s some special sauce on here.
There’s that. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. On the something special Nader sauce
right in there for sure. Yeah. Really good. And it goes really good. Yeah, yeah. You guys, if you guys go to Pine
Grove, it’s not on the menu. It’s on the secret menu. And just ask for the Wahid. It’s
no secret. Well placed on the show anyway, but. Yeah, guys, it’s good stuff,
This is really. Wow. That’s double tap to it. It’s got a little tang that’s
probably coming from his Nader sauce that he here
he always comes up with. That is. So, Nader, what what is Nader sauce? He’s just sort of a nutshell. Well, it’s basically a barbecue sauce
and a hot sauce mixed with. And now seasons. Oh, man, you nailed it. Dude, that was a great sauce. And you have another sauce too, don’t you? I do, I have another one called bang Bang. Okay. And that’s basically a mayonnaise and,
like a roumalade. Okay. So we mix it with, with, with our,
hot sauce and then add our in-house seasoning as well. So yeah, usually Martin is jumping all over that sauce
and he’s like, he was like used for that. Bang bang bang bang bang is. Yeah, it’s
good stuff. And what cool guys, you know? What is that? Okay. I know you said Tabouleh but. Oh, sure, that’s his in search of all. If you want to give an explanation
on how you prepare that, how you cook it or not cook it, but make it, Nader go. So this is, very finely chopped parsley. It’s basically a parsley salad
with finely chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions. Then we add lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and, little seasoning salt. And that’s basically it. Oh, man. It’s so nice. It blends so well with that dish. I don’t know what it is about, but it just it goes very well, marries
well together. You cool guys. I can’t wait to get involved in these jams
that come all down. Oh, I didn’t explode right there. Come on. Beating. All right, guys, at the end. All right, one more explosion at the end. Come on. Bam! Right. You’re going to do the explosions
