To be honest, the previous burners were in still pretty good shape, but I don't think they were original. I inherited this grill last summer and replaced the regulator and hose with one from Amazon with 11WC pressure thinking this would help future proof it. It works great aside from the middle knob sticking a bit, but it still functions.
After replacing the burners and flavorizors with a stainless steel aftermarket set from Amazon, it worked great for my first cook until it didn't. I noticed the flames started going out and coming back everytime I opened the lid, and sometimes on its own when the lid is closed. Thinking the regulator may have been going out on me, I replaced this with a Weber genuine product but still have the same issue. I tried cleaning the orifices with a brass wire brush but they seemed clean, and I still have almost half a tank of propane. I also reset the regulator by turning it off for a few minutes, slowly turning it back on, etc. The propane tank was purchased new last year and was filled with fresh propane from a local gas station.
Lastly, I've tried adjusting the air/fuel ratio from the burners but they don't send to affect the flames at all. They look really good when lit (all blue, and inch high, with no jumping). That is, of course, until I put the flavorizor bars back on and try to preheat it for a cook. Could my tank be low on propane or something? It's got a gauge on it (Flame King from Costco) and it is barely in the yellow range.
