This is my favorite soul food restaurant in Brooklyn and it’s conveniently located near Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Central Library, and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. I bring all my friends here when they come into town, and this usually also becomes one of their favorite spots in nyc. This photo was from when family visited, and they ordered the Fried Catfish (top) while I got the Roasted Jerk Pork Bowl (bottom). It’s the best dish there imo. The pork was tender and flavorful, and the pickled veggies were incredible. They also have a great selection of (strong) cocktails and their brunch isn’t too bad either but I prefer their dinner menu after 5pm
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out!! I literally had to stop myself from ordering there all the time because my bank account started screaming at me lol
Fun facts: it’s a Black female-owned small business and I sometimes gatekeep it from my dates because they usually don’t get far enough to deserve the life changing experience that is their roasted jerk pork bowl 😶 (the vibes are cozy and real cute for dates tho)
