150/1 – I was already sous viding chicken breasts for lunch salads and had stuff to do around the house, so I figured I'd toss them in, too. Did it add anything special? Nope. But, I got two enthusiastic thumbs up from my daughter, so I'll chalk that up as a win.

Thank you for your picture post to r/souvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

You ain’t right son 🤔 everybody knows 142 is the secret for dogs! 😂
Dude. Everyone knows that Nathans Famous get cooked at 148.5 and REQUiRE a 20 minute ice bath.
Apologize to your daughter and try again!!!
😀
ohh la la … Fancy!
At least chuck some beer in the bag. Looks like a good way to cook them though.
I would never go under 165. 2 hours min.
Nice and tender
137 helps render the mystery fat 😛
Dude you didn’t even break out the Searzall? What kind of deadbeat dad are you????
But then you dont have any hoit dog water to drink
Hot dogs on the stove and a super quick batch of chili in the instant pot, toasted buns, some finely chopped onion, a quick spread of horseradish mustard, shredded colby jack cheese melted with my blowtorch, and a single slice of bacon all combine to make me a very happy man enjoying a kickass chili dog. Throw in a root beer in a frosted glass or a can of Hamm’s or a stubby bottle of Coors Banquet, and a bag of Lay’s classic potato chips to scoop up any chili that falls off, I’m in heaven. Hand me a joint 30 minutes before the meal, I’ll be having the best day ever.
Those onions hurt my soul
Please tell me you didn’t sous vide them in the bag you bought them in
They are already cooked so you just need to warm them. Which I do in my ass. I use a bag for guests.
In my darkest moments I’ve sous vided a vacuum sealed bag of hot dogs and shredded cheese once or twice
I shave with chicken milk.
These are the best hot dogs. That’s it.
Not putting a sear on your hotdogs after going through all the effort to sous vide them is actually criminal. Id much rather boil them with beef bouillon for plumpness then sear in tallow or butter for a crust. Once I started searing my dogs, I cant go back
