I'm looking at the Ooni Modular Table as a prep table next to my Big Joe. The shelves are powder-coated steel grating. Does anyone have any experience with these as a place to move your hot stones to?

Any other recommendations?

I’m using a Keter bbq table, which I really like. Storage under for accessories and stainless steel top for prep and putting hot things on. That table you posted looks nice, but expensive and doesn’t have storage. I guess depends what you need and value. There’s hundreds of different bbq tables out there and just a matter of finding one that fits your needs.

I use the ceramic spacers that also work to raise up the stone for pizza, from CGS.

I have some bricks sitting on my deck next to Joe. Not pretty but it does the job.

Idk how much aesthetics are a part of it for you but for that price I’m sure you can get a better/bigger prep table and put a paver on top to hold your stones

I am not sure what stones you mean but if you mean the deflector plates or a pizza stone, I would be, am, afraid any rapid temperature change would stress them. I lost so many pizza stones back in the day that would just crack as they cooled off that I am scared from the experience.

Anyways, I use fire bricks, the kind used for chimneys and such, and place anything hot onto them (such as my cast iron half moon).

I have an Ooni oven which lives on the Ooni large table. The table should work as a side table. It is not very heavy duty and the coaster are on the small side but it works fine on my paver patio. It is not cheap and does not feel cheap but it is not designed to hold 100s of lbs. Check the specs if you want it to carry a much weight. It should work well as a side table. The top is stainless steel, it rolls, has a couple shelves which you can position at different heights (at last the bottom one). It also has some nobs for tools to hang from.

I have been happy with it as a pizza station and quite glad I got the large one.
