M&S revealed their new catalogue of Christmas food for winter 2025 this week and many shoppers have since been taking to social media to share their excitement for the new collection. However one item on the new menu appears to have particularly caught the eyes of shoppers, with some suggesting its price tag is ‘absolute madness’.
This week major high street retailer M&S dropped its new 2025 Christmas Food Magazine in stores, alongside also announcing the launch of its Christmas Food To Order slots.
Revealing its new Christmas food guides on Instagram, M&S wrote: “Grab your copy of the 2025 M&S Food Christmas Magazine and get ready for over 120 pages of M&S magic.
“From our full Christmas Food to order range, to festive flavour trends, details on our NEW limited-edition products, the ultimate food and drink gift guide, recipes and inspiration from @cheftomkerridge PLUS for the first time ever you’ll find pages of fashion and home inspiration.”

The store’s online Christmas Food to Order menu contains a range of festive main courses, starters, deserts and side dishes, including seasonal classics such as turkey, pigs in blankets and Christmas pudding.
However one item on the list has appeared to particularly shock shoppers, due to it holding an impressive £195 price tag.
As part of their Christmas Food to Order menu, M&S have listed their Collection Fillet of British Beef Wellington, by Tom Kerridge, as costing £195 and, since spotting this, a number of shoppers have been quick to call the item out.
On the popular Facebook page Newfoodsuk, one shopper, Lucy Mills, wrote: “£200 for a beef wellington is absolutely madness though.”
Another shopper, Janette Parker, then added: “I’d want Tom Kerridge in my kitchen personally preparing a Beef Wellington for £195!”
On the store’s beef wellington, an M&S spokesperson said: “Our M&S Collection with Tom Kerridge Beef Wellington is individually hand made, serving 6 people and weighs over 2kg. It’s the absolute best quality Wellington we’ve ever created.
“Featuring hand-butchered British beef fillet matured for up to 17 days, it’s seared – as it would be in restaurant to guarantee blushing in the centre – then hand-rolled in portobello mushroom duxelles folded with silky smooth chicken breast mousse, with a generous helping of black truffle.
“It’s encased in a crepe which mirrors the most traditional beef wellington recipe and then wrapped in Tom’s signature all-butter hot water crust pastry, the iconic recipe used in his restaurants. Served with a rich beef and red wine gravy.”
But while some shoppers have appeared shocked by some of the store’s prices, others have expressed excitement for the Christmas food on offer at M&S, saying they “can’t wait”.
On Facebook, one excited shopper, Jacqui Lowry, wrote: “Wow … looks amazing this year.”
Another M&S shopper, Lianne Cormack, added: “Can’t wait for all the Christmas magazines.”
M&S’s Food Christmas Magazines are available to pick up across the retailer’s stores from this week. The store also revealed this week that its Christmas Food To Order slots are open.
