I picked these up at a farmer’s market here in Wisconsin (zone 5). The farmer insisted they’re Sun Gold, but I’m not so sure—these are much larger than any Sun Gold I’ve seen before. What do you think they might be? These a big tomatoes. For size reference, I'm 6'2" and have big hands.
Taste: Excellent! A perfect balance of sweetness and tang, with very little acidity.

Sun Golds are cherry tomatoes. Pretty sure the farmer is wrong.
It could be a Carolina Gold tomato
Possibly Sunny Boy hybrid but definitely not Sun Golds
No but I love those so much! Save the seeds and grow your own. My fav! I love how fast they ripen compared to red ones. (Don’t remember the name I’ve been told… maybe orange jubilee or similar)
Ok here is my post, didn’t realize so many people had commented til now… lot of votes for lemon boy https://www.reddit.com/r/tomatoes/s/8bAsJVhAFR
I grew sungolds this year, they were cherry tomatoes.
I also grew these, they were labeled “heirlooms”. Same exact color as yours. They are dang tasty. So I think what you’ve got there are… heirlooms?

Could be momotaros
Could also be Yellow Brandywine
Jaune flamme ?
Maybe Jubilee?
They look good but they aren’t sungold. Sungold is a hybrid cherry.
Sorry I can’t help with ID but were they delicious?
My grandparents grew a lot of these in Georgia….just called them low acid
Could be Dad’s Sunsets, grew those the last two years and they look identical.
We were on vacation in New England one year and stopped by a roadside farm stand. They had tomatoes just like those. We were used to those big beefsteak tomatoes, but these were bright yellow. The woman at the stand said they were acidless tomatoes. They were just exactly like a big, red beefsteak, but they were yellow and definitely not as acidic. I think these might be the same thing.
There’s a lot of yellow slicers they could be but to me they look most like Dr Wyche’s yellow. They have a mild well balanced flavor like you described in a reply but I’m not really sure how someone would confuse them for sun golds aside from the color.
They look a little like a Chefs Choice Orange tomato
That looks like orange Wellington tomato’s!
Beautiful whatever they ate, and I’m sure they taste great!
Nope. You were lied to.
Yellow brandywine
Look like Dad’s Sunset, I planted some of those myself or could be Woodle Orange.
Kellogg’s breakfast
The farm I go to often has sun golds and they aren’t that big and are much more yellow.
not *the* Sun Gold F1 .. Perhaps Moonglow?
That would be pretty awesome if they came in that size.
They look like persimmon tomatoes.
I vote for Kellogg’s Breakfast.
