Grilled Prawn Salad with Honey Lemon Vinaigrette #oldscoolkevmo #sororitychef #whatatreat

So guys, you’ve been asking and the What a treat merch is finally here. I got this cool oil and vinegar. I also have a nice honey and hot honey and so many other cool things. There’s a link in the bio if you’re interested. Now, today I’m going to use some of these things to cook with. Starting with a vinegarette. I have a shallot and we’re going to go in with some of that honey. This is the perfect start. We’re making a nice light salad today with grilled prawns. Next, I go in with a little Dijon and I got some lemon. We’re doing a honeylemon vinegarette. So, I’m going to do the zest of one lemon. Then I’m going to do the juice both halves. Guys, that’s a juicy lemon. It was really nice. Add in a pinch of salt, pepper. I’m put a little splash of champagne vinegar in there. Then I’m going to use my old school Kevo organic extravirgin olive oil. I drizzle it in slowly. This is all coming together. Look at that beautiful emulsion. That’s ready. We set it aside. I have some pistachios. I need to just break these up. I like to throw them down on a tray, cover them in plastic, and then pound them. That looks good. We’ll set those aside, guys. I’ve also got some shrimp. That’s what’s going to make this whole salad come together. We’re going to marinate. Shrimp go in a bowl. I start with some olive oil. This isn’t really a marinade. It’s just a seasoning. We got salt, black pepper, and I’m going to throw on some rosemary. Just toss those around with a big scoop of pureed garlic. That’s all it takes. My griddle is hot. These are going right down. I flatten them out. Move them around. Give them all a little bit of surface space. By the time they cook on one side, they’re practically cooked through. We just kind of start tossing them a little bit. Guys, shrimps are ready. Let me show you how we build this salad. Arugula goes down on the plate. That honey lemon vinegarette goes next. A real light coating. That’s going to dress it real nicely. We hit that with some grape tomatoes. I just split them in half. I have those chopped up pistachios, little shaved parmesan, finish with those grilled prawns. Lunch is served. Man, what a treat. Thanks for watching. Cheers everyone.
