Yellin Helen’s, a popular ice cream shop and restaurant based in Dix, has announced plans to open a new location in Fairfield. The new shop will be located at 909 W. Delaware, the site formerly occupied by Barbwire Grill, which was lost to a fire in June of last year.
Known for its wide assortment of ice cream treats and a limited hot food menu, Yellin Helen’s in Dix has become a favorite for locals and travelers alike. The Fairfield location will follow a similar model, offering walk-up service and outdoor seating for guests.
Construction on the new facility is slated to begin in late winter, with owners aiming for an opening date sometime next year.
