Not the thyme. too overpowering. Good for mutton not for a steak like that.

  2. Leibstandarte2

pity they skimped on the butter, but man that looks delicious.

  3. Ifuckedjohnnyrebel

Looks tasty, but why would you waste such a nice piece of meat like that

  4. dadbodenergy11

It’s strange, but I’d definitely eat it. I’d scrape off that Pillsbury Doughboy shit first.

  5. smoke_sum_wade

perfect. ive been a butcher for over 15 years and that is how its done.

  6. xboxxxxxxer

Out on the cheese. Love cheese but why on a porter house cooked perfectly??

  7. amglasgow

Too rare for my taste. Medium rare is where it’s at for cuts like porterhouse that have a lot of fat. If this was sous vide cooked to 130 throughout and then seared as shown, it would be perfect.

r/StupidFood will eat this alive but tbh I’d still smash, even if it’s not as good as it could’ve been.

It certainly tastes good, but it seems to be some sort of Sheppard’s pie. It seems wasteful to use a perfectly good stake for that.

    It definitely tastes good tho’.

  10. went from too rare and unrendered to overcooked and a fking lasagna real quick

Why Americans love that plastic cheese is beyond me..

  12. Blue t-bone w burnt garlic butter, this is garbage.

Decent idea minus the puff pastry. Beef flavored veggies and a porterhouse to split. Not bad if it’s cooked properly.

Only seasoned one side. Only buttered one side. Disnt bother rendering the fat or searing the edges. Bit too blue for me. Didn’t rest it at all. What a waste of meat

Its a beautiful piece of meat – and a pretty nice sear for an oven finish. The pepper probably burned though, and the nonsense with overcooked peas and mushy potatoes and pie crust.. Ah, bit of a waste.

  16. TLCFrauding

It was great until he messed it up by putting it in the oven.

The most glorious and welcomed heart attack ever!!! Where os the whole style from? Ive never seen it done with the dish like that. The whole thing looked amazing! She said this was pot pie. Did i hear that correctly?

I don’t mind the initial rareness like a Florentine. I don’t even mind the poorly cooked vegetables. But when you add pie crust and throw it in the oven then it’s stoopid. That said, I’d eat the shit out of that.

  19. Man, this doesn’t even look good there’s not a single step of this process that hat looked appetizing

  20. Guzzler829

Looks so dumb and gross that they should just throw it all away in my fridge. No one would eat any of that.

  21. If you skip the end of the video it looks amazing, steak Fiorentina is great and this looks like a decent grass fed cut of meat, not overly fatty internally which is what you need, loving the butter and seasoning id be pleased to be served that and defo don’t watch the last 25 seconds, nothing of note happens yes sir not at all

  22. Hunt_9077

This seems like a nice comfort food!
I’ll defo give it a try!

  23. boricacidfuckup

The sheer amount of butter is the single only thing that I would do differently here. Otherwise, madonna!

  24. It’s probably pretty good, but I’d rather have that steak reverse seared and the veggies cooked correctly on the side.

  25. TheTaintBurglar

Looks great, a lot of moronic overreactors in the comments

  26. Moosplauze

It’s probably delicious, I’m just sad to see this nice piece of meat being used for that, could have used worse pieces of meat if you slice it up and put it in a casserole.

  27. fire_dagwon

Not nearly as bad as some other stuff I’ve seen.

But it’s crazy to see how mixed the comments seem to be, goes to show that even this sub can’t agree on what a good steak is.

Para mi gusto, demasiada pimienta y le sobra toda esa mantequilla..la carne solo necesita sal..
