I purchased a Weber Searwood 600 from Lowes in June 2024. It has worked flawlessly for more than year, albeit in exclusively dry conditions. Then I got brave and allowed it to smoke during a light rain storm. The next time I used it, I noticed condensation in the external display, but this did not initially affect function. After a few more uses, the display would no longer show anything (just blank/black). The smoker still "works" as in it can turn on and be controlled via the App, but it must manually be ignited blindly by the controls, first.
As the smoker's electrical components are covered by a 3 year warranty, I contacted Weber. After being hung up on the first time, the second person informed me that my serial number was not found in their system. I had to email them photos of my grill and it's serial number and the proof of purchase. Anyway, they registered the product and had me unscrew the casing to let them know that the circuitry motherboard had functioning LED green lights (it did). Now they have escalated the case and I'm waiting 48 hours for an email…
