The former home of Pizza Express, and before that, the former home of the cake shop Cranages, has laid empty for five years, much to the dismay of the town.
However, the High Street staple will once again be buzzing with diners enjoying what is set to be some of the town’s best hospitality.

Independent Italian haunt Odore will be taking over the landmark building, serving up fresh Italian dishes in a setting that has been lovingly curated with inspiration from Roman architecture and art that would not look out of place on the ceiling of a cathedral.
Stone pillars and marble floors give the restaurant an elegant feel, but the main event is the upstairs dining area, complete with dazzling chandeliers and an impressive ceiling.
Rino Lenja from the Odore team said it has taken a lot of hard work from a dedicated team, but it has all been worth it.
He said: “It’s taken three and a half months, a lot of money and a massive team, but we are almost there.
“We wanted to give the people in the community a luxury dining experience which is accessible to them.
“The menu will feature classic Italian dishes cooked fresh, but this will be more special than your average restaurant.”
By that, Mr Lenja is talking about the culinary skills that will be behind the kitchen.

Although their exact identify is being kept under wraps for now, he confirmed that Odore will be home to a two Michelin star chef – something he hopes will set the new spot apart from anywhere else in the area.
The people of Stourbridge will not have to wait long to get a taste of Odore.
After a period of soft opening, the new restaurant will be officially opening on October 14.
