My Persian mother is going to show us how she makes the Persian version of tabuli. This dish was originally made in the Levventine region, which is modern day in Lebanon and Syria. Okay, Kevin, I’m going to make you your favorite tabi. Taboli meets Shirazi. First, I soaked for four or five hours some bangor. Look, Kevin, our tree. How did you feed this thing? I don’t know. Going to put in here. I’m going to add the parsley. It’s a lot of parsley. This is Persian cucumber. Add the green onion, cherry tomatoes, those huge lemons. This is the lemon juice, salt, pepper, olive oil. It’s a very refreshing salad. And there you have it. A refreshing ancient salad that’s easy to make. Peace.

It’s so crazy how all the fruit that is naturally grown in people’s yards are just like massive. I have an orange and apple tree in my backyard and literally the fruit we get from there are almost the size of my head (I’m a 21 year old female and I’m like 5’4”). Genuinely they are so big and it’s a mystery because we literally don’t do anything to them I don’t even think we water the trees they just keep on living and producing fruit 😭✋🏼

Love this! I will totally be making this! Do you happen to know where in SoCal I can find the best Falafel and yellow rice? I went to visit NYC and came across an Egyptian street vender 12 years ago and it was my first time ever eating falafel. It was one of the most delicious things I had ever tried! The rice was also amazing. I have been looking for that flavor ever since but have yet to find it.

Can’t go wrong with tabbouleh. And yes, Persian cucumbers are a must. I love adding dried sumac and minced fresh mint to it.
