HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Chef Jon Matsubara is known for his famous Hawaiian style lobster roll which he serves at FEAST in Manoa. Now he has a new fast-casual eatery in Waikiki called the Hawaiian Style Seafood Company.
“Feast in Manoa is more neighborhood style. Waikiki is about sharing Hawaiian seafood with the world. Hawaiian Style Seafood Company is our way of saying aloha to visitors and locals, fresh, fun, and uniquely Hawaii,” Matsubara said.
In addition to his popular lobster roll, the eatery offers chef-crafted poke bowls, omakase, and fresh seafood catering for local businesses and events. The seafood omakase features a selection of Kauai shrimp, Kualoa oysters, Kona abalone, Kona Kampachi and more.
Matsubara is a Hawaii native, French Culinary Institute graduate, and Food Network champion known for defeating Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli.
Hawaiian Style Seafood Company is located in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza with an entrance on Royal Hawaiian Avenue. It’s open Tuesdays-Sundays from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
