One of my kid’s birthday party was today. He loves bbq so I wanted to do a BBQ joint style party for him

Brisket
Pulled pork
Spare ribs
Cowboy beans
Mac and cheese
Corn salad
Homemade pickles
Homemade sauces
Served it all on butcher paper trays

Great chance to try out my electric smoker turned holding oven. I sealed off the pellet chute and the air vent to prove my commitment to never using an electric smoker lol
Was able to hot hold the brisket and pork shoulder for about 16 hours and then keep all the sides hot. Worked fantastic.

I’m trying to figure out what you overdo

Can I join your family? I can be that distant cousin who shows up once in a while for family gatherings and disappears with an Irish goodbye.

Do you use the masterbuilt as a warmer ?”or did you cook in that one as well?

    Edit :

    Everything looks amazing btw

Not at all! You’re making bomb-ass food for your family that they won’t forget!

If they have something smart to say to that effect, my family is pretty nice and big backed…

So if a random guy with long hair and a beard shows up, I’m supposed to be there.

That looks good asf tbh you didn’t overdo anything in my opinion all you did in my eyes was make sure you had enough food for a NyQuil plate or two for everyone and most likely leftovers that will be demolished in mere days

Only way this would be “overdoing it” is if you only made all that for like 4-5 people… But if it’s 6 or more … Overdoing it is the only way with BBQ!

  12. WetBandit06

No such thing as overdoing it. Send em home with some plates!

Mind sharing all of the details about your brisket cook? Looks perfect. What a relief to not see shitty looking brisket on here.
