If you’re ever in the mood for a quick and easy snack, then corn dogs are the way to go. To make them, start by boiling your hot dogs for about 2 to 3 minutes. You can boil them whole or cut them in half like this. When you’re done, insert a skewer or toothpick down the middle. Then set it aside while you make the batter. The batter is really simple. To a large bowl, add egg, milk, sugar, and salt. Give that a good mix. Add the dry ingredients. So, cornmeal, allpurpose flour, and baking powder. If you don’t have cornmeal, you can just add in more flour or use whole wheat flour. After mixing, transfer the butter to a narrow glass or container just so it’s easier to dip. When the oil is hot enough, add the corn dogs one at a time. And you want to fry this for about 3 to 5 minutes on medium heat. When they’re nice and golden brown, transfer to a paper towel to get rid of any excess oil. And just like that, you have delicious corn dogs that everyone would love.
