Today we’ll stay at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi’s famous all-inclusive resort. One Bedroom Family Suite we stayed in. Pools and Aqua Prak. Private beach. Culinary experiences such as Turkish à la carte dinner. Amazing buffets. Anjana Spa. Hotel facilities and entertainment activities. Please enjoy the two-night stay! Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is on Saadiyat Island, on a white-sand beach in Abu Dhabi. Hello from Saadiyat Island. Just 25 minutes from Abu Dhabi Airport, this island is known for its natural beaches, often home to nesting hawksbill turtles. It’s also Abu Dhabi’s cultural heart. Here we are at the entrance of Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island. Opened in 2018, it was the first all-inclusive luxury resort in Abu Dhabi. On each side of the grand entrance there is a huge fountain. When we turn around, the view is also beautiful. Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is part of the Rixos Hotels brand, which was founded in Turkey in 2000. In front of the luxury hotel it’s a nice fountain in shape of a star. Rixos Saadiyat is a large property spread across gardens and long stretches of beach. The resort has 288 rooms and suites, plus 12 private villas with pools. When you come by car, come here. Beautiful luxurious entrance. Since 2017, Rixos Hotels has been part of Accor, one of the world’s biggest hotel groups. Let’s go inside. Thank you for the nice welcome. The style feels like an Ottoman palace transported to the Arabian Gulf. The lobby is grand and open, with a colorful yet elegant setting. Another fountain in the center of the lobby area. A striking blue frame surrounds the glass doors, opening to views of palm trees and the courtyard. Expensive chandeliers are everywhere. As part of the welcome we are offered traditional Arabic coffee and fresh dates. Dates are filled with some nuts. Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island stands out for its ultra all-inclusive concept, something very rare in the UAE at this luxury level. Check-in desks. There are many places where we can sit and relax.
The walls are covered in polished marble. Portraits of the UAE’s royal family. For VIP guests, there is a dedicated private check-in area. It offers a more discreet and personalized arrival experience. I am getting excited. Welcome VIP drink is some kind of beetroot juice. Healthy. Tastes expensive. At check-in, guests receive a welcome letter with all the essential information about the resort. Includes opening hours for restaurants, spa, entertainment, details about activities throughout the day. Bar Lounge is open from morning until late at night so we can relax here almost any time of the day. Here you can order everything from coffee and juices to cocktails and wines. All included in the ultra all-inclusive package. Beautifully crafted pastries and desserts.
Tiramisu opera, strawberry tart, macarons, Turkish cheesecake. On the counter, that wooden stand is a cocktail infusion tower. Coffee sets and different types of Turkish coffee for sale. Selection of teas and utensils. Rixos Premium Saadiyat has a stunning central courtyard. The courtyard connects the heart of the resort with the gardens, pools and restaurants. Throughout the courtyard, there are cozy seating areas. Rattan chairs and shaded lounges make this one of the most peaceful corners of the resort. It is so beautiful. There is a grand arcade and many palm trees on both sides. We can see the waterfront from here. The courtyard pool framed with marble and pebbles creates a calm, elegant setting. It is not for swimming though. 🙂 There are many round tables set up for dining. Subscribe to our channel if you like our travel vlogs. Thank you! Now it’s about time to head to our room. For this visit, we’ll be staying in their 1 Bedroom Family Suite category located on the ground floor. Room 1334. Room key card. Doorbell not working? Entrance door has a harp-like effect. (Excited). The 1 Bedroom Family Suite offers a spacious living area, a separate bedroom, two bathrooms and direct access to the outdoors. This is the living room area. Separate door on the right for the bedroom area. Suite is generously sized at 90 square meters (about 969 square feet). It’s a stunning bedroom. A cozy armchair accented with colorful cushions brightens the corner. Green accents appear throughout the room. King-size bed features a soft, double-face cover. A thick, comfortable mattress. Too many aesthetic pillows. Pillows are medium-soft with the option to switch to softer or firmer ones upon request. I like the lamp design. Rixos reading lights. Next to the bed, we find USB ports and light switches. Walls are made of polished green ceramic tiles. If we want fresh sheets, we place this card on the bed. Pillow menu.
Thank you, Vergel. TV. Rixos magazine.
Rixos Bab Al Bahr. Yachts. The TV remote is sealed, most likely for hygiene reasons? Notepad, phone. Someone came to our room to deliver the welcome gift. We will take a look in a moment. Next is the minibar. As part of the ultra all-inclusive concept, the minibar is fully covered and restocked daily. Yonkers peanut bar.
Chocolate wafer. Open the mini fridge. There is no alcohol in the room. Soda juices, water. Tonic water, mango and orange juice. Coffee machine, kettle, etc. The coffee cups are by RAK, a well-known premium brand.
And some other brands. Le Provence tea. Rixos branded sugars. Kettle is basic. Nespresso coffee machine. Behind the door, there’s a wardrobe with extra storage space. If we want some privacy, we can close these. Rixos hangers. What do we have here.. It’s a handmade Rixos beach bag.
It is complimentary so we can use it here and take it home after the stay is over. Rixos flip-flops are blue. Pool towels inside the bag. Rixos hotels indoor slippers. Let’s try them out. Yes, very nice! White safe box is quite rare. Prayer mat and Quran book. Laundry menu and sewing kit. Prices are high. An ironing set is provided. The bathroom is connected to the bedroom with a sliding door. It is a nice-looking bathroom. As expected in any luxury hotel, you’ll find bathrobes in the room. Rixos Premium Saadiyat branded bathrobes. Deep pockets. Luxurious bath tub. Thank you for the flower. Golden finishes on the bathtub handles. Towels with golden lines. The washbasin counter mirrors the design of the bed. Bathroom amenities. The water pressure is released through small jets. Green glass sink. Makeup mirror. Flowers are natural. The amenities are from Molton Brown, a luxury brand from London. Even the trash bin is luxurious. Below the sink counter, you’ll find a hairdryer and a scale. At an ultra all-inclusive resort, the scale is the one thing you probably shouldn’t use. Separate toilet. Rixos toilet paper. Luxurious bidet. Soft towel. Moving on to the walk-in shower. The shower is sleek and comfortable, designed with golden accents. Hand shower. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Time to check out th e welcome gifts. Four rounded mirrors. Green velvet chairs. Seeing this, I am getting hungry. Hand-written welcome letter. Thank you so much! Sola silverware. Almonds, wild nuts, walnuts. Welcome fruits.
Dragon fruit is beautiful. Small platter with dried fruits and Turkish delights. Heating system works impressively well for a hotel built in 2018. The living room feels bright and modern. Nice painting. The One-bedroom family suite can fit up to 4 guests. A neutral-toned sofa. Should I keep the TV controller sealed or open it? Working desk. By the entrance door there are also some gifts. Tooth wipes, glass wipes, refreshing eau de cologne. Second bathroom is smaller but keeps the same design. Interesting mirror. I feel like this shower is bigger than in the main bathroom. The terrace is accessible from both the living room and the bedroom. Two sun beds and an umbrella. We can see the main pool. There are many people at the pool area in the afternoon. Overall, the Family Suite feels spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully designed for both couples and families. Rates for the One Bedroom Family Suite usually start around $1,700 per night, depending on availability and inclusions under the ultra all-inclusive package. Before heading out for dinner, let’s take a little walk to explore the beachfront. Beautiful sunset views. Down by the shore, we find Âme Beach Bar. It offers international cuisine and is open daily from 8:00 a.m until sunset. Rixos Premium Saadiyat has its own private beach, considered one of the most beautiful in Abu Dhabi. By sunset, the beach is full of life. Stretching for over one kilometer, the beach offers fine white sand and turquoise water. Having such an expansive private beach is rare for Abu Dhabi hotels. The view from this evening is beautiful. Sunsets here are breathtaking, painting the sky in shades of orange and gold. Love it! When we came back to our room… We found these adorable towel decorations waiting for us. Looks like a mother with her child. Thanks again, Vergel! When it comes to dining, Rixos Premium Saadiyat has plenty of options. From Italian and Turkish restaurants to Asian, seafood and international buffets. For our first evening, we chose to dine at Orient. The moment you walk in, the Turkish atmosphere surrounds you. The décor is striking, creating a dramatic atmosphere. Orient Restaurant serves Turkish cuisine in a Silk Road–inspired setting. It’s open daily for dinner from 6:30 p.m to 10:30 pm. Wines are on display. Someone is performing live music from a traditional instrument. Table setup is elegant. There are colorful ceramic plates placed on the restaurant walls. A la carte restaurants are available only for guests staying a minimum of two nights. Received some type of Turkish bread with butter and cheese. The plate is edged with a golden rim, surrounded by elegant silver cutlery with intricate patterns. A neatly folded red napkin. The menu feels refined, highlighting the restaurant’s fine-dining ambiance. The Silk Road: A journey of flavour. Elixir of Anatolia are soups.
Salads and cold appetizers. On ice mezzes.
Hot appetizers. Main course like lamb chops, beef shaslik. Desserts. Kids menu. Wine menu contains only a few types of wines. Beverage menu and cocktails.
Signature ones like Oriental, Sultan Suleyman. “If you want the moon do not run from the night”.
“If you want love do not run from yourself”. A water goblet. I chose to try the Merlot wine from South Africa, Table Mountain. Let’s also prepare a tea. Dammann tea, from the famous Parisian house. Ops. Turkish bread resembles pancakes. Let’s try some butter. This is the “On ice mezzes”.
Warm hummus. And corn agnolotti. With fresh corn puree, mascarpone, corn and porcini mushroom. Hummus has eggplant, charred capsicum, iso and sumak on top. 110 AED (30 USD) dish has ezine cheese melon, avocado cacik, scallop marin, charned vegetables and green beans with olive oil. Presentation of the platter is really nice. The atmosphere is beautiful. Let’t try the dishes. As the restaurant is their most famous, reservations must be made in advance to secure a dinner spot. This is GOOD. For the main course, this is the Kofte Iskender. Beef, pide, tomato sauce and smoked yogurt. Kebab is with lamb, bulgur rice, onions, tomato, grilled pepper. Turkish food is famous for its grilled meats, fresh bread, meze and sweet desserts like baklava. Their cuisine is a mix of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences. The meat is very well seasoned. Dessert is cheese kunafa. It is a sweet-salty dish topped with some green sprinkles and some kind of vanilla ice cream. Dinner was amazing. Thank you for the food. From the terrace of Orient Restaurant, you can see the whole resort. At night, guests can enjoy live music and performances from bands. Nice music coming from the courtyard but I am so sleepy so we’ill visit it tomorrow evening. Head back to the room. First day at Rixos Premium Saadiyat was beautiful. I truly felt it’s the best all-inclusive luxury resort. When we got back to the room, the turndown service was already done. All the curtains were closed. The bed looks to be neatly prepared for sleep, pillows fluffed and the curtains drawn. Bottled water and were placed by the nightstands and the lights were set to a warm glow. Slippers were arranged by the bed. It says Good night now and Good morning tomorrow. After a long day, it feels good to just sink into the bed. Until then, let’s prepare a nice hot bath. Good night from Rixos Saadiyat. Good morning, everyone. Ahh, feels nicely. Breakfast is served at Turquoise Restaurant, the main dining venue here at Rixos Premium Saadiyat. Turquoise Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving a wide international buffet. Restaurant itself is spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seating. So curious about the buffet. When we step on to the terrace.. It is a different atmosphere. Here is way more private and peaceful than indoors.
Tabes are more elegant as well. The view opens to a wide green lawn framed by lush plants, palm trees and the resort buildings on each side. There is a beautiful large fountain in the middle while the pool is a little further. As one of the top all-inclusive resorts, I expect the breakfast buffet to be abundant, diverse and high quality. Cheese selection. The selection includes varieties like Goude cheese with cumin, cheddar, French cheese, Parmesan, Emmental. We can easily pair it with some dried fruits. Dates, honey and jams, dried pineapple. Chilli butter, salt butter and herbs butter. Smoked trout, mortadella ham, smoked mackerel. Bread and pastries. The buffet includes a wide selection of freshly baked artisanal bread. I feel like there is a little too much to be honest. Croissant with butter.
Borek with minced meat and with cheese. Nutella danishes.
Pistachio muffins. Pretzels. Almond croissants.
Chocolate glazed donuts. Fruit danishes.
Mini pain au chocolates, vanilla filled danishes. Chocolate muffins. Bread buns and scones with seeds. Yogurts like blueberry, strawberry, mango, plain, Greek, etc. Toppings like forrest fruit sauce, chopped dragon fruit, oats, seeds. Sandwiches.
Waffles and pancakes. Topping such as coconut flakes, granulated sugar, maple syrup. Pancakes in progress.. Leafy greens and vegetables. I can make my own Egg Benedict. Sautéed vegetables. Beans dish. Mini sausages in tomato sauce. Arabic pickles in large quantities. Greens like mint, basil, parsley. Cheese tomato and baked cinnamon apples. French fries, vegetables spring rolls and grilled veggies. Scrambled eggs. Rosemary potatoes. Mushrooms. Is this supposed to open like this?
Little egg confused. Spring rolls with cheese and falafel. Chicken nuggets, hash browns. Sweet chili sauce, mustard. Cauliflower with yogurt, sun dried tomatoes. Quinoa salad, hummus. Beetroot tarator, yogurt with chili peppers. Labneh paprika cheese. Red pepper dip. Pickled stuffed eggplants. Peppers and walnuts, pesto salad.
Labneh balls. Next, cooked meat and eggs dishes. Traditional chicken stew with mixed vegetables. A dish called menemen. Spanish omelette with potato. Buckwheat rice. Condiments and spices, bread crutons. Pretty shaped breads. Lentil soup. Cold platters and desserts. Rare cheese sortiments like Tulum cheese, sheep milk cheese, sepet cheese. Milk with cereals. Walnuts, raisins. There are so many fruit compots: pineapple, apricot, apple, plum, blueberry. Dried pineapple slices. Olives and olive spread. Passion fruit, watermelon, pineapple, dragon fruit. Bananas, oranges, green and red apples, etc. Honey comb. Greek yogurt and labneh. Syrups, jams, honey selection. This is Tahini sauce. It feels like there are nuts and dried fruits everywhere, almost too many on display. Halva is a traditional sweet dessert made mainly from tahini (sesame paste) and sugar. They have three types. Some pre made yogurt and muesli small bowls. Fresh juices. The buffet opens for breakfast every day from 7:00 a.m until 11:00 a.m. Turquoise is the main breakfast venue but suite and villa guests may also request in-room service. We’ll enjoy breakfast on the terrace. This is the kind of breakfast that makes it easy to get out of bed. We also requested some iced coffee but we can also have Prosecco or tea. A variety of foods. Some egg, chicken sausage, pickles etc. Pastries. Bread with chili flakes butter. This is a muesli yogurt with pineapple. Breakfast was delicious, but I expected a bit more variety. After 9 a.m. the restaurant also felt a little crowded. Next, we’ll visit the main pool. There are many sun beds on the lawn and hammocks. The main pool at Rixos Premium Saadiyat is one of the highlights of the resort. The atmosphere is relaxed. The water reflects the palm trees and the hotel’s Arabian-inspired architecture. The pool is open daily from 9 a.m. until sunset time. There are always two lifeguards on duty watching over the pool. There’s a suspended deck area with sunbeds. It is a large pool. The view from above is nice. If we need pool service, we press this button. The pool team moves around on skates. Thanks much. Since it’s almost always 30 degrees here, this feels perfect. Now it’s even better. It’s about 25 meters long, large enough for both swimming and relaxing. The depth is comfortable, starting from around 1.2 meters and going up to 1.4 meters. It also features a swim-up bar. They sell signature mocktails, milkshakes, frappe and also alcoholic drinks. We can relax on these pool beds. So everyone basically comes here. It is a very beautiful and luxurious green property. Besides the main pool, we can also visit their Aqua Park. Up next, we’ll explore the villas area of the resort. The villas at Rixos Premium Saadiyat are the most exclusive accommodations in the resort. The Club Villa offers 200 square meters of space with its own pool, perfect for families or groups. And at the very top, the crown jewel of the property is the Villa Privé. The Villa Privé costs over €10,500 for two nights, making it one of the most luxurious villa experiences in Abu Dhabi. Next, we’ll visit the Aqua Park and the Rixy Kids Club. This is one of the highlights for families staying at Rixos Premium Saadiyat. The Aqua Park is designed for kids, with colorful slides, water fountains and plenty of splash zones. Aqua Park rules. The atmosphere is lively and full of energy. It’s a space where kids can spend hours without getting bored so it is great for the parents. 🙂 Moving a little further, they even have a wave pool. It creates gentle rolling waves. Nice waves but I prefer the real ones. Fountain jets arc across the water. The water park design resembles a mini theme park, built on a smaller family-friendly scale. Right next to the Aqua Park is the Rixy Kids Club. This is a dedicated area where children take part in games, activities and creative workshops. They even have a dedicated kids bar. They sell juices, popcorn and ice cream. Back at the main pool for some cold drinks. People’s is the poolside restaurant open only for lunch from 12 p.m until 4 p.m. I wanted to try a chocolate milkshake. I requested extra whipped cream. Yum. By the way, Saadiyat Island is actually a man-made project, developed entirely on reclaimed land. Today, it’s home to some of the city’s most exclusive resorts, cultural landmarks and pristine beaches. Now it’s time to check out the resort’s Spa. We can see the restaurant terrace. Anjana Spa, the exclusive gym and several other facilities are all located in the same part of the building. Elevator is luxurious. The award-winning Anjana Spa is the largest spa on Saadiyat Island. This hallway and reception area look stunning. They have some items for sale. The Moroccan-style tiles, mirrored walls and chandeliers create a sense of tradition. It has been recognized among the Top 100 Spas in the World. On top of that, it has won multiple awards as Abu Dhabi’s Best Wellness Retreat. So you’ll find everything from aromatherapy and hot stone massages, to skin treatments using premium brands. Premium oils and scrubs are on display to try. Prices begin around 500 AED for shorter therapies and can reach 1500 AED or more for signature, multi-step rituals. The menu covers everything from Turkish hammam rituals to modern massages and facials. This is the indoor lounge connected to the smaller outdoor pool area. Amenities like infused water, fruits and tea. Let’s step outside and see what the outdoor pool area looks like. Outside, the atmosphere is calm and refreshing. The space is lined with elegant sun loungers, each prepared with soft towels and cushions. The outdoor pool is small, private and beautifully tiled in blue. There is also a square jacuzzi. The color of this spa pool is almost identical to the main pool. A fountain. It is quite cold but I think this is the whole point. Sun beds feel comfy. Approved. There are separate areas for men and women here at Anjana Spa. Right now, we’re in the ladies’ changing area. Behind this door we’ll find the relaxation area, Turkish hammam, steam rooms and sauna and their “snow room”. The use of natural stone and earthy tones gives the spa a soothing design. Outdoor plunge pool. The first area we step into is the traditional Turkish hammam. Marble surfaces, warm lighting and the sound of running water create a calming setting. This is the central hammam hall, with a grand heated marble stone. Here, traditional Turkish rituals are performed, from foam massages to deep scrubs that cleanse the skin. Hammam is very common in Turkey and across the Middle East. It’s a social and cultural ritual. For centuries, people gathered here to cleanse, relax and connect. It’s a sink without any tap, designed in the traditional hammam style where water is poured manually with bowls. The mix of heat, steam and massage is believed to purify the body, improve circulation and leave the skin glowing. Sauna and steam room area. It is a spacious sauna room. Steam room is in blue. This is the relaxation area of the Anjana Spa. A quiet, elegant space with comfortable loungers. They offer some magazines for reading.
Strange table. Rixos Premium Saadiyat has something truly unique, the only snow room in Abu Dhabi. ❄️ It’s a rare feature in the Emirates and it makes the spa stand out even more as one of the best wellness retreats in the region. Yes, it’s snow and it feels like a meat refrigerator in here. Next, we’re heading back to the beach to finally try the water. Didn’t even notice the information board about the beach and resort. It shares useful details about swimming conditions and resort guidelines. We’re here. The boho-style beach bar is shaded with woven canopies and decorated with plants and cozy seating. It blends nicely with the surroundings. During the day, fresh coconuts are sold right on the beach. Apparently they’re not included in the all-inclusive package, so you’ll need to pay 45 AED (5 USD) if you’d like one. The property looks beautiful from this spot. The bar also has tables set directly on the sand so you can enjoy food and drinks with your feet in the sand. Hammocks. It is a nice feeling. Beach volleyball. The setup feels organized and elegant, with many rows of loungers and umbrellas. The sand is powdery soft and white. From here we can see how expansive the coastline is, stretching for kilometers. The entire island was developed as a master luxury project and this beach is one of the cleanest in Abu Dhabi. The sea is calm most days, but now it is pretty rough and not so clear. This beach is known for being home to protected wildlife, including nesting turtles during certain seasons. Looking around, you notice the island still has ongoing development, but the beach itself feels quiet and exclusive. The water temperature is perfect, warm enough for swimming but still refreshing in the heat of Emirates. Unlike city beaches, there are no skyscrapers or traffic here so this is a big plus. Ice cream is included in the package. I will have one with chocolate and vanilla. Look at the scenery. The most striking feature is the grand central arcade, which you see right in the middle of the resort. The archway connects the heart of the property to the gardens and beach beyond. The design is meant to be both imposing and welcoming, drawing inspiration from palaces and traditional Arabian architecture. The architecture of Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island was designed by WATG, a world-renowned design firm. Construction took several years and the project officially opened on October 15, 2018. The resort covers nearly 96,000 square meters of built area. It looks like there will be a live band performing tonight. We’ll come back here after dinner to enjoy the music. The way to the buffet dinner takes us down this luxurious staircase. It has golden railings and a sparkling chandelier above. Not the best place to be wearing espadrilles, especially on these glossy marble steps. Turquoise Restaurant is located on the -1 floor, in case I didn’t mention it earlier during breakfast. For tonight’s dinner, I’ve chosen the Greek restaurant called Mermaid. But before that, let’s take a look at what they offer for the dinner buffet. There are multiple stations spread across the restaurant, each focusing on different cuisines. Sushi station with a wide variety of fresh rolls and nigiri. The entire wall is decorated with ingredients. Rolls such as vegetable rolls, California rolls, salmon rolls and tuna rolls. Tuna, salmon, mackerel, hamachi sashimi. Same bread from the breakfast. (maybe not the same ones) Pizza slices. Breads. Butter.
Focaccia bread. Continuing with the cooked dishes. Cream soup. Beef stew. We can choose a chicken lollipop. Dal makhani is a dish originating in Punjab region. A fish dish. Middle eastern cold mezze dishes. LOOKING GOOD. Chicken nuggets, fries. Beef with mushroom sauce. Grilled chicken with butter. Seafood tomato pasta. Seafood stew and soup. Salads and salad ingredients. Fried food like vegetable rolls. Fried whole fish. What’s this… It’s an entire salmon baked in salt crust. We can pair the salmon with asparagus, beetroot, pasta. Minced meat stuffed zucchini. Beef with potatoes. Beef with chopped vegetables. Sortiments of olives, pickled vegetables. A range of premade yogurt salads and fresh leafy salads. Eggplant with tomato sauce, stuffed onions and peppers. Tandoori chicken wings and pita bread, pesto and mustard sauces. Barbecue grilled meats. Lamb chops, barbecue sauce, other meat options. The dinner buffet changes every night. While some staples like salads, breads and a few international dishes remain, the hot dishes, grills, and specialty counters rotate themes. There is a large quantity of coconut rice pudding and chocolate pudding. Dried fruits. Caramel cake, pistachio cake. Cevizli baklava, kadayıf, baklava. Big size tiramisu. Forrest fruits cakes. Tart with mango and passion fruit. Ferrero Rocher cake is creamy. Raffaello cake. More traditional Turkish desserts. Chocolate fudge topped with milk chocolate. Mint cake, chocolate mousse, red velvet cake. Macarons filled with jam.
Mango cupcake. Lemon mousse tart and blueberry cake. Chocolate biscuit cake and orange tart. Choux and mini tarts. Strawberry vanilla eclairs. Yogurt with raspberry jam, walnut cake. Strawberry and mango yogurts. At Rixos Premium Saadiyat, there are four à la carte restaurants in addition to the main buffet (Turquoise). All of the à la carte restaurants do have a smart casual dress code in the evening. For Turquoise, the dress code is more relaxed, but still no wet swimwear. The sun is about to set so we’ll head to the Greek restaurant. Mermaid is located next to the main pool, behind the People’s restaurant. Mermaid is another great choice from the resort’s a la carte options. The setting is beautiful and recreates the Greek atmosphere with pink flowers and boat tables. There’s also Greek music playing. The outdoor tables have a nice view. We have our table reserved indoors for 7:30 p.m. The indoor tables have a lovely atmosphere, designed to feel like a cozy Greek tavern. The music is really nice. I missed the Greek music. Tables are beautifully arranged for the evening. After only a few minutes, we were welcomed with small appetizers from the house. But it’s part of the all-inclusive so everything is actually from the house.. Tzatziki, raw fish with lemon juice, avocado and fennel, smoked aubergine. Our dinner just started but I already love the experience. Dinner napkin looks like an envelope. The cutlery design is unique, wrapped in a knot-style handle. Live performance started. Digital menu. If we prefer a more authentic dining experience, we can also request a traditional menu. Cold mezzes like oysters, seabass marin. Main courses are mainly seafood or fish options. Fish soup, Greek salad. Milfoy with vanilla cream, chocolate tahina fondant. Kids menu. It’s about time to try the cold mezze dishes. There is no point in ordering something else after this introduction.. Maybe just some oysters. Tzatziki with bread is so good. The raw fish smells great and it is thin. Shallots with red wine vinegar and Tabasco sauce. We added some lime and a touch of mignonette. Literally tasting like the ocean.
One of my favorite oysters ever. The restaurant is decorated with bottles of Greek wine. Cold towel. Main course just arrived. Grilled octopus with spring onion, lemon, arugula, chimichurri sauce. Beautiful! Lobster linguine with capellini pasta, tomato sauce and parmesan cheese. Lobster meat is cooked really nicely and it is super soft. For dessert, the chocolate tahina fondant. The chocolate dessert could have been more melted for a smoother texture, but overall it was still enjoyable. Thank you. The food at Mermaid was good, with fresh seafood and a cozy Greek tavern feel. Still, if I compare, I think Orient is on another level. The atmosphere feels much more refined and the dishes are presented in a more luxurious way. One of the reasons this hotel is so well-known is its wide selection of stylish restaurants. And the best part is that all of them are included in the ultra all-inclusive concept. Now, let’s take a walk around the hotel at night. At night, the entrance looks magical The entrance door is especially impressive at night. Lobby looks even more spectacular now, with chandeliers glowing and the marble floor reflecting the light. Corridors are elegant and stylish and there are not too many people around. Band performance started in the courtyard. To the courtyard… The atmosphere transforms at night compared with the daytime. Live performances take place here, right beside the illuminated pool. The setting is beautiful, with palm trees glowing in soft blue light and lanterns reflecting on the water. It feels like the heart of the resort’s nightlife. Dance, dance, dance. We’ll have a look at Savanna Sol Bar located next to the reception area. Savanna Sol is open daily from 5:00 p.m until 2:00 a.m. The design of the bar is playful, with exotic touches. Stylish decor. Neon animal art on the walls creates a jungle-chic vibe, paired with zebra-print seating and mood lighting. The bar feels immersive, like stepping into a stylish African lounge. There’s even a billiard table here.
It is a nice place if you want to come a little later. I personally prefer live performances instead of the indoor bar since it feels more relaxed and fitting the island’s spirit. The pool is closed during the night so the area is very quiet. It is an expansive pool and it is all illuminated in blue tones. The whole bulding is glowing. It’s been a happy and great day. Have a good evening! It’s the next morning at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island. Today, the alarm didn’t go off (or maybe we didn’t hear it). As a result, we pretty much missed breakfast. Don’t worry though, you didn’t miss anything.
Only we did. So we came to the courtyard to enjoy some tea and light snacks before checking out from the resort. Some red berries tea.
Tortilla chips, nuts and some biscuits. Next, I’ll show you some of the remained facilities. To their Exclusive fitness center. Here are located the resort salon, gym, healthy bar and tennis courts. Gym is a good-size gym. There are all kinds of workout machines. There are two tennis courts. Reservations for private sessions have to be made in advance. Now it’s time for some impressions of the stay. We enjoyed so much our stay at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island. The room was clean and spacious, with good amenities and the turndown service was consistent. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. One of the highlights is definitely the variety of restaurants included in the ultra all-inclusive package. I just loved the Orient Restaurant, I would like to come back someday. The private beach is one of the most beautiful in Abu Dhabi and that’s what makes this resort stand out compared to others. Overall, Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island offers a luxurious and well-rounded stay, with something for everyone. The total bill of the stay came up to 12,480 AED, which is about 1,700 USD per night. In the next episode… Maldives. We’ll be staying at Fushifaru Maldives, a boutique luxury resort known for its intimate island setting and tropical atmosphere. It’s a completely different atmosphere from Abu Dhabi. Here it’s all about turquoise lagoons, white-sand beaches and Maldivian traditions so I hope you’ll like it. Have a happy day ahead. Thanks for your watching!
