Made a thing to get those red hot plates out the way.

The divide and conquer plates come out red hot sometimes, after going low and slow for a reverse sear steak or whatever and I've been nervous I'm either going to torch my hut (yes I have a fire extinguisher in here), burn myself but placing an arm, hand or whatever on it or worse, someone may lean on it when we have friends over and someone's yarning with me and a beer in the hut.

Saw an opportunity for some scrap stainless, a quick SketchUp later and this was born. It's at the back, behind the kamado so out of the way, and I put a 15mm sheet of ceramic from an old kiln behind it to protect the wood from the heat.

Well happy with this.
