Picked up this 5lb Prime Rib beauty yesterday at our local butcher shop. Basically followed the Prime Rib Meat Church recipe on the Traeger site. Coated with salt overnight and then used Traeger Prime Rib rub. Cooked at 250 for just over 3 hours until medium-rare. Super delicious.

    *What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

    Traeger on!

I really wanna do a prime rib in mine. Did it pick up a lot of the smoke flavor? I know sometime on the shorter cooks it doesn’t get as much but that wouldn’t be a bad thing with how good the prime rib is on its own.

This is on my list for sure, Either I’ll do a true reverse sear or something else (like Start low and slow, pull it when near temp, then cranking to max heat)

Or just go 225 until it hits temp then blast it with a propane torch.
