Had several very solid wines to celebrate my cousins wedding a few weeks ago in the Hamptons. The hermitage had soft notes of berry, sour cherry, and leather. Saint Joseph was a lot of Vanilla spice and raspberry. Mount Eden magnums covering the 90s were served as the wine for the wedding dinner great earth tones and wild berry that had mellowed. Plenty more were fired and forgotten as unfortunate as it was I wouldn’t have changed a thing. And of corse Negronis to cap the night heck of a party.

Epic wedding wines. Those Mount Eden bottles look a lot bigger than mangums, maybe just the angle
Ok that Mount Eden has me so damn jealous.
How was Alain Graillot? I love this winemaker. Is cuvée from marocco is outstanding for thd price but i never had the chanve to taste old vintage from him. Was it still alive or only on the tertiaire note?
I am a big Mount Eden lover, would love to try older bottlings like that!
