If you tune into ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Saturday, Sept. 27, expect to see one of Michigan’s own brands.
Fustini’s Oils & Vinegars, which got its start in northern Michigan, is scheduled to be featured for a segment celebrating National Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) Day, which is Sept. 30. According to a news release, the segment will also highlight the holiday gift-giving season.
Jim Milligan founded Fustini’s Oils & Vinegars, a tasting room for olive oil and balsamic vinegar, in 2008 in Traverse City.
“This is a proud moment for Michigan,” said Jim Milligan, founder of Fustini’s Oils & Vinegars, in a news release. “We started this journey here, inspired by the flavors of Europe but deeply committed to building something local — something Michigan-made. Being featured on ‘Good Morning America’ is a testament to the amazing customers and communities that have supported us along the way.”
Over the years, Milligan added Fustini’s locations in Ann Arbor, Holland and Petoskey. Its stores are where you will find various varieties of European-style olive oil, including those infused with flavors from basil to blood orange. Fustini’s line of vinegars includes aged balsamic vinegar to those infused with Michigan-grown fruit.
In honor of the EVOO Day special tastings and local events are taking place at stores in Traverse City, Ann Arbor, Petoskey and Holland now through Tuesday. There’s also free ground shipping for online orders over $100, with no code required.
For the holidays, Fustini’s offers a selection of gift packages. Many of its products highlight Michigan agricultural products and contain Michigan fruits.
Its top gift pairings include:
