CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – At O’s Grill customers are greeted like friends. The same goes for workers, who are more like family.

Now the popular restaurant is hiring.

“We are like almost like family in here. We treat everybody like family and that’s why you should apply at O’s Grill,” said Owner Otmane Benjilany.

Right now O’s Grill is looking for both part-time and full-time workers to help at restaurant, and with other parts of the business which describes it’s food as Middle Eastern- Mediterranean.

“The food truck is seasonal, it goes from early spring to late fall. And then we have the catering department, that’s all year long. And then we have the wholesale department where we have our products in the grocery stores, so we have our hummus, the white gold sauce, the pita chips and the baklavas. So far we have 18 different stores,” Benjilany said.

The growing business started as a food cart in downtown Cedar Rapids before becoming a vendor at the downtown farmer’s market, and eventually opening on Center Point Road.

Benjilany says working for the family-owned business comes with flexible hours.

“If you have a family, you have kids, we’ll take that into consideration, and high schoolers as well. If you’re a high schooler and you would like to work here or college, we’ll take that into consideration when you have homework and stuff like that as well,” he explained.

Those interested can apply online.

They’re looking for people to contribute to the friendly atmosphere that’s felt as soon as you come in the door.

“To be honest with you, like my main thing, I’m looking for personality. You know, everything else we can teach you about, you have to be a personable person. You have to be friendly to our lovely customers. That is the most important part,” said Benjilany.
