Free grill I grabbed off the curb. Think it’s worth fixing up to use as my primary propane grill? Not familiar with this “special edition” model, but I assume I can find parts online to replace all the internals. The lid concerns me, heavy rust and that liner could be pulled out without much effort. Frame is solid and the side burner looks new. I appreciate any help!

Definitely worth it. Very nice grill and things look to be in pretty good shape. Nice Score!

Restore? Hell, just replace the tubes, flavorizers, and maybe the grates and youre good to go

If there’s no rust inside the cabinet, thats your biggest clue to go for it

It looks like you could replace the grates, flavorizers and tubes and you’d have yourself a very nice grill.

Spray it down with simple green, clean up the metal with steel wool, add new burner and flavorizer bars and it will be practically brand new.

This imo is the perfect weber propane grill.

use soap spray to make sure the metal hose arent leaking anywhere.

  6. Flavorizers and tubes – good for another 10-15 years

Find another one on marketplace and cannibalize it for parts . You got a great grill there

ROCK solid grill and I’d already rebuilt the gas tubes, flavorizer bars, and deflectors once. You had mentioned concerns about the lid, and the liner which was pulling out. Mine had the same issue, and frankly if the gas tube mounts hadn’t cracked or broken off in the aluminum base I would have kept it. VERY good grill.

With a lid, grates, flavourizer bars, knobs, reg, grease management tray… and heat shield… you’re probably into it for 350 with OEM Weber parts (excluding Lid). The lid might be the most expensive

Enter the serial number from white label.

Inspect the burners too. I suspect you may need some new burner tubes.

Replace the burner tube’s and flavorizor bars and this grill is ready!

I got one that looks like your same model for free from marketplace maybe around 2013 and it is still going strong. It wasn’t as bad as yours, but pretty rough. I just cleaned it up real good, though, and it looked great. I have replaced the flavorizer bars one, and looks like the igniter just crapped out on me, but I probably cook on it more than any other grill I own.

So, yea, it’s definitely worth a shot.
