I was a big fan of ramen Takeya in the Fulton market area of the West Loop. Glad to eat it again.
They closed the shop for remodeling, then turned it into a Korean restaurant, and now it’s a Ramen Wasabi.
I hate calling it Wasabi because, to me, there’s only one, the OG location. However the WL location has the Wasabi items like Hakkata style tonkotsu. Fortunately they also have the tori paitan from Takeya.
Got the spicy paitan and the Sapporo miso.
They remodeled the interior and while it’s trendy and modern it lacks the charm of the old izakaya theme.
