Way it should be, iv worked with people vomiting on the line and coughing all over food before. Shits nasty and not worth the risk of making the staff and the customers sick.

I got a real bad pneumonia earlier this year which cause a collapsed lung and made me miss a month of work. Our owner paid me 20 hours a week for every week I was out. It wasn’t my full wages but it kept food in my fridge while I was sick and she never tried to get me to rush back to work. It’s wild what it feels like when ownership/management cares about you.
