Checked out Omakase Box (split off from Jinsei Motto) and really enjoyed it – $98 for 15 courses and we added on a couple extra pieces at the end. Full list of what we had:

  1. Whitefish tartare with shallot and caviar
  2. Hiramasa with house made lemon kosho
  3. Akami, 4 day dry aged. Onion and shiitake mushroom
  4. Sawara with roasted bell pepper and chive
  5. Onagadai (ruby red snapper) with kombu and shiso leaf
  6. Zuke-sake, soy marinated king salmon with pickled red onion
  7. Madai (sea bream) with pickled apricot
  8. Saba cured with salt and rice vinegar with fresh ginger and scallion
  9. Chutoro, dry aged for 4 days with miso mustard sauce
  10. Kanpachi with fermented black bean paste and negi chip
  11. Salmon tataki with maitake and yuzu sauce
  12. Ikura with uni and fresh wasabi
  13. Hotate with lime and kombu salt
  14. Otoro, 4 day aged with wasabi salsa
  15. [add-on] King salmon with fermented tofu and shiso leaf
  16. [add-on] Unagi with sesame seeds and panko crumb
  17. [add-on] Negitoro hand roll with wasabi salsa
  18. Basque cheesecake with house made berry sauce and lemon zest

Everything tasted fresh and was a good amount of food. Our favorites were the sawara for how savory it was, saba for the texture, chutoro, kanpachi for the crunchy chip, and the otoro for how well it paired with the wasabi salsa (pickled wasabi, fresh wasabi, leek, green onion). There were some unique toppings we'd never had with sushi before, like the fermented black bean paste or pickled apricot, which worked surprisingly well. Some of the nigiri had a touch too much wasabi for my partner's taste, but I personally enjoyed the amounts used. Overall a great experience and would recommend!
