Lost my moka pot to the dishwasher… (rookie mistake, I know). My daughter decided I still needed one around, so she drew me this. Probably safer this way.

I might be taking a break from moka for a while. 😂

Are you sure it’s ruined? Probably just some oxidization. Have you tried scrubbing/acid?

That’s why you should read the owners manual before using.

Why not post to r/mokapot as well to get some feed back and maybe they can advice you on getting your pot back in working conditions again.

My boyfriend kindly put my mocha pot in the dishwasher once. I wasn’t happy. It didn’t happen twice.

    Don’t put aluminium in dishwashers.

    Nice picture 😁

Bialetti do a nice range of [stainless steel ones](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bialetti-Venus-Steel-Coffee-Maker/dp/B07ZKZXM4B/ref=sr_1_1?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.zohb_eta-SXytpPTfhIcV4EOcKGn43YCfY_5y-27N5lkVCmYptTPgRfqMz4fWGQCuXFNRkHyVpwlQEx23IJxk3-_oOAu9GIEw-2ttvZN5VVRuTbF0qSeFy90WSZEzbzPlmilSnkdLINXNIbjof_c4gtv5ucGIz7Q9HE2Ww-mSfWm8JvJFHYdnojO3pA-MjG81VMhEE7tSUqiqs9a2zTqa14qOMJSVjHx_wSpJy1L6grw4OYVPyMyg6Nnu2HfnuSlxjgHG3i-hp7KiEWfAACUZXoNSlZ5ZzoF_VPj0JZklrE.v_BaQmSsv3QBOWte64yy6HlleggKD7Ez4MPgAUMFuhM&dib_tag=se&keywords=bialetti%2Bcoffee%2Bmaker%2Bstainless%2Bsteel&qid=1759269211&sr=8-1&th=1). Which you can put in a dishwasher if you insist. I’ve got one, but still wash it by hand.

In fact, I don’t really put anything apart from ceramics, non-crystal glass and cutlery in mine.

The only problem with the Bialetti stainless moka pots is that some of the edges are rather sharp.
Had to spend some time with sandpaper and a file rounding off the edges. Makes a great cup of coffee though!

You mean you ruined it by putting it in a dishwasher
