I'm currently seasoning the kamado. I can't get the temperature above 150 degrees Celsius. I need to get it to 200/250 degrees Celsius. What im i doing wrong? More charcoal? More fire starters?

More charcoal. Push the ash drawer all the way into the Kamado. Leave the draft door at the bottom half open and leave the top vent open. It also takes like 20 minutes.

Read the owners manual. Even the following advice won’t stop you from other mistakes while cooking. First, that daisy wheel on top has a hinge to allow it to be fully opened. So the vent top can be fully removed from the cap. Use some cooking gloves to move that out of the way so you get more airflow. Second, that ash basket should be fully inserted into the bottom, and the handle removed from the basket. If you are unable to get it in all the way, you probably didn’t put the fire ring into the egg correctly. Third, without knowing how much of what type of fuel you’re using, that may or may not be another source of problem achieving higher temperatures.

You don’t really need to season it, first cook is enough

I was having minor air flow issues at first and actually ended up changing out the the cast charcoal holder for a charcoal basket (amazon) and then got rid of the sloped stainless piece that sits around the ash catcher

Swing that top vent off to the side wide open, with bottom vent half open. She’ll be roaring soon.

You need to rotate the top vent to the side
That is shiny and red!
