A Charming New Italian Trattoria Has Opened Inside An East London Hotel

Over in East London, an eccentric new venue has opened up inside The Hoxton hotel, ready to whisk you away from London to the shores of Italy. Il Bambini Club has landed in London, following success in France, to provide a place to escape the bustle of the city.

Having started in Paris, Il Bambini Club already blends the world-class culinary pedigree of Italy and France. As you might expect, the menu features all the classic big-hitters of Italian food. We’re talking the likes of crispy arancini, creamy burrata, and fresh pasta dishes. And while we’re always here for more pasta to scoff, there are two more things that we’re particularly excited about.

Firstly, the tiramisu. But this ain’t no piddling serving of the famed Italian dessert. At Il Bamibini Club, they go big and serve up giant portions of tiramisu – filling bowls with their coffee-and-chocolate-and-cream-y delights. Order one of these and heads will turn as it arrives at your table, with plenty more sure to arrive for other dining parties as they experience tiramisu FOMO.

But that’s not all; we’re also enamoured with the conjunction of their late opening hours and their delectable cocktail menu. Blending the Italian aperitivo hour tradition with East London’s esteemed cocktail culture, it’s set to be a hot spot for late-night drinks in Shoreditch. And since Il Bambini Club is open until midnight from Thursday to Sunday, you can bet that you’ll find me here sipping negronis after the pubs have closed.

All this takes place in a buzzy atmosphere, with eccentric and eclectic interiors. Mid-century art is hung alongside modern design touches; textured fabrics fight for your attention alongside bold striped walls. Everywhere you look, there’s something new to see. The restaurant even has its own perfume – gently surrounding diners with “sweet and tangy notes completes the sensory experience.”
