I was super excited to encounter the chocolate collection, I almost bought the whole series but in the end I decided to start with what sounded the most appealing- my favorite cake flavor in ice cream form. To say I was HYPED would not be an understatement. However, my first impression was pretty unfavorable. The advertised brown sugar coconut swirl literally does not exist. The cake and nut pieces are minimally present, but very good when they're encountered. At first I thought it was just a pleasant but regular chocolate ice cream with some mix ins, but after having a few bowls now I actually do think there is coconut in the mix. The grainy texture is slightly detectable, along with a subtle coconut flavor underneath the chocolate base.
7/10 would eat again

I really liked this one. Though I did wish it had more cake pieces, they were very good when you got them. Mine had some coconut mix ins but I was okay with there being a smaller amount of that.
I had a ton of swirl in mine. This is my favorite chocolate ice cream for sure.

Their ice cream has gotten too fluffy and airy. Filled with emulsifiers.
I just finished a carton of this. I thought it was good, but the chocolate was a little weak. The other flavors in their chocolate collection are strong and really good.
Their mix ins are sparse and bad. Their base is gummy and weird feeling, it just ends up as “low quality chocolate ice cream” No german, no cake. Tillamook just doesnt got it anymore, if they ever did.
