The Oct. 11 Event Will Feature Chef-Prepared Small Plates and Curated Beverages

Gelson’s West L.A. will host its first Social Club on October 11, turning its in-store Wine Bar into an intimate community gathering spot for an evening of food, drinks, and conversation.

The event, scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., is designed as a casual alternative to dating apps and digital connections, offering guests the chance to meet face-to-face over curated drinks and chef-prepared plates. Attendance is capped at 40 people to keep the atmosphere relaxed and approachable.

Tickets include two beverages, with choices ranging from wine and craft beer to margaritas and vodka sodas, alongside small plates prepared by Executive Chef Tony Dang. A charcuterie and cheese board, cookies, and a chef’s choice dessert round out the menu. Attendees will also leave with a swag bag featuring Gelson’s private-label products.

Reservations are available through Gelson’s website.

The Wine Bar at Gelson’s West L.A., located at 12121 W. Olympic Blvd. in the West Edge complex, is known as one of the chain’s “hidden gems.” In addition to tastings and chef-made small plates, the space offers a “Sip ’n’ Shop” service, allowing customers to enjoy a glass of wine while an associate completes their grocery shopping.
