I don't care for plain fresh strawberries unless they're almost too ripe. I need the sweetness of sugar. Today though, I had leftrover donair sauce, a sweet & garlicy mixture that goes perfectly with the meat in a Halifax-Style Donair.

A++++ on the taste. Doesn't really cut it, appearance-wise. A bit cummy, as Chef Matheson would say.

Taste would be there for sure. I used to make a whipped honey and cinnamon ricotta with balsamic strawberries and crushed pistachios and it was a great combo. I appreciate that it does look “cummy”. Maybe you can call it “donor” sauce instead. Question is, who made the donation?

What is donair besides sweet and garlicky? I just can’t see using garlic anything on strawberries! Yuck!
