Since this is seemingly becoming a tradition for me on Mondays, I got the pineapple fritter and the Machete Maple.

Pineapple fritter – I have mixed feelings. First, it was clearly dry Pineapple, not fresh. I've noticed that Apple fritters have a sogginess to them that I assume comes from the added water in the apples. These did not have added water from the dried pineapple and so didn't have that soggyness abject made an overall better doughnut, but every bite with pineapple was… you know that feeling when you're eating trail mix and get a bite of dried pineapple and wish it was a better part of the trail mix? It was like that, except more, cause the tail mix was a doughnut.

That being said, no fruit in the fritter would have accomplished the same no added moisture and would hand been strictly better.

Wife was similarly not a fan.

Although, I have to note that better fritters have failed to avoid the appearance of a cow pie and this one totally nailed the presentation.

Taste: 6/10, without the pineapple it would been an 8
Presentation: 10/10, I had my doubts that a fritter could beat the presentation issues, but the did in a beautiful way!

Machete maple was an entirely different story. It was an INCREDIBLE doughnut! Perhaps a touch heavy on the sugar for my taste, but fantastic maple flavor. Also, the glaze had a very satisfying and fragile snap to it as I bite into it.

Also, it wasn't perfectly shaped, making me think it was done by hand and not a machine, which I appreciate.

Taste: 9/10
Presentation: 8/10
Name: 14/10, so good

Also, the lady who helped me was very nice and helped me the moment I walked in and was fast. Service 9/10
