The base is brown butter with maple added, and I could eat just that. There are mini chocolate chips and maple crunchy pieces, similar to an ice cream cone. Both are okay and work to enhance the chocolate chip waffle flavor.
I saw this on clearance at my local grocery. I live in a test market, so we see many types of products that never come back or don't come back for years. I would buy this again. It was what I wanted; maple with a chocolate and occasional crunch.

Interesting, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this flavor! I’ve only seen the plain eggo maple. It sounds delicious. Thank you for including a picture of the actual ice cream.
Interested to know what you paid at the clearance store. They are $5.49 in my area. I thought it was fine but overpriced for the quality. I understand why but still.
As someone who loves eggo waffles, I rather just eat a waffle
