This keeps my stomach full before the commute home so I can make better dinner choices! I try to choose a variety of colors and 'shapes' of food so it's interesting to eat. The formula goes:
- one green veg: cucumber, snow peas, snap peas, celery, green beans etc.
- one colored veg: carrots, bell pepper, radishes, cherry tomatoes, etc
- one fruit: any berry, grapes, peaches, apple slices (soak them in salt water for 10 minutes, rinse, and dry to prevent browning), etc.
- one protein: beef jerky, deli meat rollups with mustard, crab sticks, cheese, salami, etc.
