Green Beans in Olive Oil
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 500g green beans, washed & drained
– 3–4 tomatoes, grated
– 3–4 garlic cloves
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 1 tsp sugar
– 1 tsp salt
Sauté onion in olive oil, add beans, tomatoes, garlic, sugar, and salt. Cover and cook on low heat until beans are tender.
Bulgur Pilaf with Vermicelli
– 1 cup bulgur
– 2 tbsp vermicelli (şehriye)
– 2 tbsp butter
– 1 tsp salt
Toast vermicelli in butter, add bulgur, salt, and hot water just covering the surface. Cook until fluffy.
Cacık (Turkish Yoghurt Dip)
– 1 cucumber, diced
– 1 cup thick yoghurt
– 1 garlic clove, grated
– Dried mint + olive oil drizzle
Mix cucumber, yoghurt, and garlic. Top with mint and olive oil.
