Crepe Therapy Café is celebrating its Boulder grand opening on Saturday, and if you don’t think a wellness-minded French crepe party with a Champagne saber and live music is newsworthy, we’re fundamentally different people.

Ivory Coast-born Chef Mawa McQueen, the James Beard-honored force behind Aspen’s Michelin-recommended Mawa’s Kitchen, is officially bringing her “restorative and soulful” take on crêpes to the Front Range.

Along with Mawa’s Kitchen, McQueen also owns two Crepe Therapy Cafés in Aspen and Snowmass. A release stated that Crepe Therapy Café is “designed as a neighborhood gathering place, inviting guests to slow down, connect, and enjoy food that is both restorative and soulful.” Crepe Therapy features an array of savory and sweet crepes, and a release says that a Boulder-exclusive crêpe flavor is also on tap — and it will feature vegan and gluten-free items.

The opening party starts at noon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Champagne saber and crepes galore. The café is located at 2273 31st Street, just off the Twenty-Ninth Street Mall, in Boulder. Expect sweet and savory crepes, café-style seating and maybe the discovery of your new go-to brunch spot. Check out the menu at crepetherapycafe.com.
