Fenoma, Calgary’s newest sandwich shop, is opening this weekend, and it’s offering a taste of Italy.
The spot officially opens its doors on Oct. 4 at its location at 1420 40th Ave. NE.
Specializing in authentic sandwiches made with certified Italian ingredients, Fenoma’s sandwiches feature freshly baked schiacciata, a Tuscan-style bread that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Sandwich lovers will be able to choose from 16 varieties, with classic flavours such as its Mortadella e Burrata, which, alongside the aforementioned, also features whipped ricotta, basil, and crushed hazelnuts.
For a more unique bite, diners may want to try the California Sunshine, loaded with pepperoni, grilled pineapple, Gorgonzola Dolce, mozzarella, chilli oil, and basil.
As well as classic sandos, Fenoma offers both mixed green and Caesar salads and desserts, including tiramisu and coconut panna cotta.
The spot is open from 6 p.m. to midnight, so if you’re craving a late-night bite, this may be the place.
