This is actually the best homemade cinnamon roll recipe, and it can be ready and in the oven in under an hour. The dough is very simple to make. You’re going to use instant yeast, and it can be made entirely by hand. You don’t need a bread machine and you don’t need a stand mixer. Though, if you have a stand mixer, you could absolutely use it. I do a couple tricks to enrich my dough, like adding an extra egg yolk. And we are 
going to knead this just a bit. It doesn’t take much before we let it rise. For the 
filling, we’re using brown sugar, cinnamon, and a bit of salt and, of course, plenty of 
melty, softened butter. We’ll just add this over the dough and roll it up nice and tight. Then, go ahead and cut this into slices. If you’re one of those people who likes to use dental floss, that works just fine. The dough gets a quick proofing in the oven, and then I like to drizzle it with a little bit of cream before baking. It just makes them extra gooey. I make a simple cream cheese frosting, but I do have a non-cream cheese version if you prefer it. I can’t wait
