Not this much butter, but I do make compound butters and tick them under the skin. It makes delicious crispy skin and keeps the moisture in the meat.

I gotta say, the 4 pounds of butter or cheese videos I see on here are the most disturbing thing I’ve seen lately and I saw *that* footage when it happened.
A lot of stuff doesn’t faze me but excess butter and cheese makes my heart hurt and my stomach churn.
The steak boiled in butter should probably be a crime.

I’m gonna be real; every Thanksgiving, I get those horrifying sci-fi syringes full of butter and seasoning to inject into my turkey. (It just makes it so moist and delicious, without fucking around with aluminum foil tents, or overnight brines, or those oven bags.)
But I’m pretty sure that’s like 1/3 of the amount of butter we’re seeing here…
