Here’s my recipe hack for Ekmek Kataifi (makes 2)
60g Antoniou Kataifi Pastry @antonioufillopastry 30g butter, melted 20g walnuts, crushed1/4 tsp cinnamon

Custard
2 tbsp ready-made vanilla custard (I used Paul’s creamy custard)

Topping
2 tbsp double thick creamSprinkle of walnuts, crushedSprinkle of cinnamon, ground

Sugar Syrup (full recipe) I used a little of my leftover syrup from a previous recipe that I had stored in the fridge
2.5 cups sugar2 cups water1 cinnamon quill2 cloves½ lemon juiced 

Combine sugar syrup ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat for 4-5 minutes, allow to cool completely and pour over the hot kataifi. Then pour the custard over the kataifi, followed by the thick cream and finish off with some crushed walnuts and cinnamon.

Here’s your 10-minute recipe hack for amec gadi. Yes, you heard right. You’ll be eating a kc gadi made at home in less than 10 minutes. Place the buttered gadi in a jaffle maker until it’s toasted and golden. Add crushed walnuts, cinnamon, sugar syrup. Top with ready-made custard and double thick cream and enjoy.

  1. That is not how you do ekmek kadayıf, ekmek kadayıf is made with a different type of kadayıf that is more cake/bread like hence the name so this is an easy kadayıf recipe not an ekmek kadayıf recipe
