Just bought 10lbs up here in Chicago as it was on sale for 3.99 at da jewels, vs the new ‘regular price’ of 8.49/lb.
Cooked up half of it so far for some amazing Italian beef sandwiches.

Up in Massachusetts its 5.99 now

I found some English Cut Short Ribs marked as Bottom Round a couple weeks ago. I bought four packs and vacuum sealed them. (I’ve already cooked up two packs of them)
Chuck Ribs are $9.99/lb – 12.99/lb here in Nashville, TN
The Carne Asada at Costco was 30 bucks last month for 5 lbs. I went to get some today and it was 60 bucks. Crazy. Here is Alaska.

Cries in Canada, that roast is easily $13-$15lb here

And this is one of the many reasons we buy 1/4 or 1/2 of a steer at a time. Ends up being between $6-$7lb for everything at the end. Ground beef, roasts, steaks, brisket, brats, ribs, summer sausage etc
edit: I didn’t think I needed the /s, but I should stop overestimating Redditors based on my downvotes

Votes have consequences. The GOP has complete control of our government. The DEMs only have the ability to occasionally oppose anything. Which is eventually overridden by the party in complete control, the GOP. Welcome to “America First”, can’t ya feel it? We are winning!

I just paid $12 lb for chuck to make beef stew… that’s what we ate when we were poor growing up.

I just bought my usual bacon, it has been 3.97 for years and suddenly today it was 4.30. I know that doesn’t seem like that much of an increase, but that happened sometimes between last Thursday and today.

I just order the expensive stuff now online. If they charge so much for meh meat might as well spend a bit more, healthier and better tasting

Lots of people placing blame, no one giving a real explanation.
It was my understanding that we want cattle from Mexico quarantined because of the potential spread of a certain parasite, screwworms. So the cattle industry is taking a blow in order to control the spread.
